My approach to counseling is rooted in the belief that each person, couple, and family thrives when in balance.

Amy Hartline, MA, LPCC

Drawing on the influences of Person-Centered Psychotherapy, Reality Therapy, and Mindfulness Therapy I support clients in developing clarity, moving towards greater authenticity, improving relationships, and integrating the tools necessary to sustain growth.

Since 1999, I have worked with youth, adults, couples, parents, and families as an instructor, trainer, administrator, director, faculty member, and clinician with organizations such as Outward Bound, NOLS’s Wilderness Medicine Institute, Open Sky Wilderness Therapy, and Prescott College.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate and hold a BA in Wilderness Therapy, an MA in Transformative Leadership, and a second MA in Counseling. Additionally, I bring over 2000 hours of training in mindfulness and yoga, completed the two-year Hakomi Comprehensive Training (a form of mindfulness and somatic-based psychotherapy), and continue to pursue additional on-going clinical training.

When not at work, you can find me with friends and family exploring the mountains, deserts, and rivers near my home in Durango, Colorado. I especially enjoy traveling, trail running, yoga, skiing, cooking, biking, painting, scuba diving, and rafting.

Nothing ever goes away until it has taught us what we need to know.
